Jesse Ausec

Jesse Ausec joined the faculty at Lenoir-Rhyne in 2019 as an adjunct professor teaching a variety of courses. In 2023, Ausec joined the university full-time as an instructor in the occupational therapy department.

Ausec has more than 12 years of clinical experience, primarily in pediatric-based settings. He holds specialty certifications in autism spectrum disorder, sensory integration and pediatric trauma and attachment disorders. He has also held leadership positions with the South Carolina Occupational Therapy Association (SCOTA) and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

He is currently enrolled in the Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate program at the Medical University of South Carolina, where his capstone project is creating a conceptual model for the professional development of OT practitioners.

Ausec resides in Beaufort, SC, with his wife and twin toddlers. He enjoys traveling, being outdoors and running ultramarathons.
